Julian Tcherassi is a singer-songwriter who has been playing guitar (classical, flamenco, and rock) and composing music for 18 years, blending classical fingerstyle melodies, flamenco strumming, guitar solos, and powerful vocals into songs that hit the heart with a storm of emotions. He graduated from Musicians Institute in 2014 with an Associate’s Degree in Guitar and Audio Engineering, and during his time there he recorded with Grammy Award–winning producer David Isaac.
After MI, Julian joined the psychedelic rock band Papajuliett, and the group recorded an album with Grammy-winning producer Christian Robles. They performed shows in Los Angeles and then continued in Austin, TX until the band decided to break up in 2020.
While Julian was rocking out with Papajuliett, he was also studying Marketing at Loyola Marymount University and graduated in 2019. Julian's life made a hard pivot when he decided to start Magiktea to share palo azul with the world and now it is available in 1,000+ stores nationwide. Building Magiktea demanded full focus, and music took a temporary hiatus, but the dream never left. Through sponsoring music festivals and wellness events, Julian repeatedly found himself playing spontaneously, and the consistent encouragement from listeners became impossible to ignore.
Eventually the message was clear: stop procrastinating! For all we know, tomorrow never comes, so the time to pursue the dream is now. Julian committed to his solo career, returned to recording, and began performing live at events and venues around Los Angeles. Now he’s on a mission to continue writing and sharing his music with the world so that his creations can transcend and impact other souls.
The idea for the sword originated from Julian’s newly discovered passion for firedancing with swords and staff. The Tcherassi sword symbolizes fighting for our dreams, fighting past your fear, and using art to fight against those who seek to enslave humanity for their own selfish gain. It stands for becoming the strongest version of ourselves so we can create the beautiful one of a kind masterpiece that each one of us was born create.
We are infinite beings manifested in physical form, here to experience the full spectrum of emotion and then transmute it into art so that everyone can enjoy and understand the unamaginable beauty within us.
